Tall, stout glabrous perennial. Stems angled, 50-75 cm. Median leaves with leaflets 2-paired or 1-paired; leaflets linear-elliptic, 50-120 x 5-22mm, thick, glaucous, 7-9-parallel-veined; stipules lanceolate, much longer than the 1-2 mm petiole. Upper leaves much reduced. Peduncles shorter or longer than the leaves, sturdy, rather closely 7-15-flowered. Flowers lilac-pink to magenta-violet, 14-17 mm. Calyx 5-7 mm; teeth unequal, ciliolate, the lowest lanceolate, as long as or slightly shorter than tube. Style linear-subspathulate, 4-5 x 0,5-0,75 mm. Legume linear, c. 80 x 8 mm. FI. 6-7. Steppe, corn and fallow fields, damp slopes, 1000-2000 m.
