Prostrate caulescent perennial; stems 5-15 cm, from a woody base. Leaflets 3-6 mm obovate to oblong, obtuse or retuse, upper surface glabrous, lower with a few, white, ±adpressed, simple hairs, 4-7-paired; stipules 4-5 mm, lanceolate, joined at the base. Peduncles 3-5 cm. Inflorescence an ovoid, 4-8-flowered spike. Bracts c. 3 mm, lanceolate. Calyx 7-10 mm, tubular, with sparse, short simple hairs; teeth 1-2 mm. Corolla reddish-pink to lilac; standard 16-18 mm, bilobed. Legume c. 12 x 5 mm, semi-ovoid, sparsely pilose, shortly beaked. FI. 5-6. Meadows, rocky igneous slopes etc. 1000-2300 m.
Endemic; Euxine element.
