Annual to perennial, 10-30 cm, densely glandular-villous, many-branched with ascending stems. Leaves mainly unifoliolate, sometimes trifoliolate; leaflets oblanceolate-cuneate, 4-6 x 2-3 mm, denticulate, often folded. Peduncle 5-10 mm, 1-flowered, not or indistinctly awned. Calyx campanulate, 5-7 mm, cleft to ¾ into linear-lanceolate, at least at base 5-nerved lobes. Corolla yellow, 6-8 mm, standard often striped with red. Vexillar stamen inserted near base of staminal tube. Legume oblong, 5-7 x 2,5-3 mm, glandular-hairy, 4-6 ovulate. Seeds orbicular to kidney-shaped, 1,5-2 mm, tubercled. Fl. 6-7. Stony slopes, limestone rocks, Quercus macchie, 600-1350 m.
