Two new-to-science species Stachys cuhacioglui and Leopoldia buseana, which have been discovered by our two enthusiasts Cem Çuhacıoğlu& Buse Topçuoğlu have been published and added to the Türkiye's checklist. Congratulations.
A new Stachys and a second location for invasive Eichhornia crassipes
A new Stachys which was found by Botanist Özal Güner has been published recently as S. milasensis. The recently discovered invasive Eichhornia crassipes was found also in Dalaman-Muğla in a small pond. The plant has been previously known only from Asi river, Hatay.
A new Dionysia from Hatay province
A new Dionysia, D. zeynepiae was discovered and has been published recently by Yelda Güzel, Assoc. Prof., in Phytotaxa. Now we have 4 Dionysias in Turkey !!
50th Muscari
A new Muscari, which was formerly classified under M. massayanum has been published as a new species by İ. Eker, Assoc. Prof. in Phytotaxa. The new species, Muscari erzincanicum is clearly different from the former sp by many characters. We congratulate the author.
