Coarsely branched, spreading herb, blue-suffused, glabrescent or with scattered spreading hairs. Leaves short, decurrent, obtuse, with a fine mucro. Inflorescence dense. Bracts triangular, keeled on the back, shorter than the narrower bracteoles. Perianth segments 5 mm, with scattered short hairs, constricted at the middle, the lower part gibbous, the upper lanceolate, acute. Anthers 2,5 mm, the anthers united to the middle. Appendage 0,5-1 mm, bladder-like, narrower below, yellowish. Style absent. Stigmas 2-3 mm, band-like. Mobile and fixed sand near salt-lake shores, 900-950 m.
