Perennial herb. Stems erect, 20-35 cm, somewhat canescent, with an indumentum of short, stellate-furcate glandular hairs. Lower leaves obovate to narrowly obovate, sinuate-dentate to lyrate-pinnatifid; stem leaves sessile, subamplexicaul, linear to lanceolate. Sepals saccate, 7-10 mm. Petals whitish lilac to deep violet, the limb c. 4 mm broad, tapering gradually into the claw. Siliquae slender, torulose. Fl. 5-7. Rocky slopes, banks, ledges, 1300-2800 m.
