Stems 25-60 cm. Leaves linear, long-acuminate, c. 1 mm wide. Bracts ovate-cordate, coriaceous, pale, equalling flowering head. Bracteoles 4, very broadly ovate, cordate-aristate, coriaceous, pale, ¾ equalling the calyx length. Heads with about 7 flowers. Calyx 16-19 x 3,5-4,5 mm, widest at the middle; teeth 4,5-5,5 mm, lanceolate, mucronate, margins scarious, sometimes ciliate. Petal limb red, 4-5,5 mm, dentate, barbulate. FI. 6-7. Alt. 540 m.
Endemic; close to D. cibrarius.
