Shrub or small tree up to 5 m. Leaves deciduous, imparipinnate; leaflets 2-3-paired, ovate or ovate-oblong, 5-8,5 x 2-5 cm, obtuse, not mucronate, glabrous except for ciliolate margins, light green on both sides; rachis not winged or very narrowly and inconstantly so. Fruits paniculate, always depressed-globose, 6-7 x 8-9 mm. FI. 5? Rocky slopes, deciduous oak scrub, 1100-1720 m.

A widespread and overlooked species, in leaf characters intermediate between P. atlantica and P. khinjuk.
