Hispid perennial ; stems erect, 30-60 cm. Leaves linear to linear-oblanceolate, 60-100 x 7-15 mm, entire to obscurely undulate, indumentum monomorphic, of flexuose setae. Inflorescence elongating in fruit; bracts linear. Calyx c. 6 mm in flower, 9-12 mm and ± accrescent in fruit, divided to c. ½ into acute or obtuse lobes. Corolla dark blue, occasionally white, tube 5-7 mm, lobes 2-4 mm. Nutlets c. 2 x 4 mm, obliquely ovoid. Fl. 4-7. Pinus brutia forest, fields, etc., 200-1600 m.
