Erect shrub, to 9 m; young branches hollow, puberulent or glandular-villous. Leaves ovate-Ianceolate to suborbicular, 1,5-5 x0,8-3,5 cm, obtuse, sparsely pubescent or villous, with or without glandular hairs. Inflorescence 2-flowered, axillary; peduncles 1-3 mm, shorter than the petioles; bracts c. 1 mm, linearlanceolate; bracteoles c. 1 mm, free. Corolla pale cream to deep yellow, 15-20 mm, pubescent; tube ½ as long as limb, slightly gibbous. Berries yellowish? , paired, simple. Fl. 5-6. Sheltered rocky slopes, amongst Cedrus and Quercus, etc., 1000-2600 m.
