Dwarf, prostrate, scapose, perennial herb with a woody base. Leaves 4-7 cm; leaflets 5-8 mm, elliptic to obovate, densely bifurcate-sericeo-strigillose below, sparsely so above, 8-10-paired; stipules c. 6 mm, triangular-lanceolate. Peduncles c. 1,5 cm. Inflorescence a lax 2-4-flowered raceme; flowers shortly pedicellate. Bracts c. 4 mm, oblong-acuminate. Calyx c. 12 mm, tubular, sparsely short black adpressed bifurcate-hairy, with a few longer white adpressed bifurcate hairs; teeth c. 1,5 mm, linear. Corolla violet; standard 22-24 mm, not attenuate above. Legume c. 10 x 7 mm, broadly ovoid, somewhat laterally compressed, dark purplish, densely short white adpressed bifurcate-hairy, erect, mucronate. Fl. 5-6. Upland pasture, etc., 1200-1700 m.
