Differs from V. hirsuta in being subglabrous, stipules elongate , all linear-setaceous and ciliate, peduncles much shorter than leaves , and legumes glabrous or nearly so. Leaflets 8-15 x 2-3 mm, linear. Calyx 3-4,5 mm; teeth subulate, ciliate, c. 2 x the tube, the upper pair slightly shorter than the rest. FI. 4-5.

Caucasus, Talysch and Crimea. Hyrcano-Euxine element.
