Differs from V. oligantha as follows: plant slightly more robust, variably pubescent; stem base up to 2 mm diam.; leaves sometimes pinnatisect, lobes often ovate; inflorescence more compact in flower, but spreading in fruit; flowers opening ± simultaneously, pink or white; corolla tube more than 4 mm; achene pubescent. Fl. 5-8. Rock crevices and cave mouths, 1300-3600 m.
