Stem unbranched, slender, 5-15 cm, arachnoid-glandular-villous in upper part. Spike shortly cylindrical, dense, few-flowered, rachis white-villous. Bract lanceolate, subequalling or shorter than calyx, densely white-villous. Bracteoles 2, linear, longer than calyx tube. Calyx campanu!ate, glandular, densely villous, 4-dentate; tube 1-5 mm; 3 larger teeth 6-10 mm, distinctly longer than tube, several-veined, other tooth much smaller, 2 mm, bifid. Corolla pale yellow, becoming  brownishyellow when dry, 17-25 mm, constricted at insertion of stamens, inflated below insertion, gradually dilated above insertion up to limb, glandular and arachnoidlanate, erecto-patent or inclined forwards. Stamens included, anthers densely arachnoid-villous towards base, cream to pale yellowish brown. Style sparsely glandular above, stigma pale yellow, pilose. Fl. 5-7. On Alyssum sect. Odontarrhena . in open Pinus nigra forest and on rocky limestone slopes., serpentine rock and snowbed meadows. 1500-2200m.
