Plant 8-15 cm, eglandular white-tomentose with a dense indumentum of very short crisped hairs, intermixed with numerous spreading to adpressed weak hairs to 2 mm and sparsely glandular pilose upper part of stem and leaves. Dead leaves present at base of stem. Basal leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, 2.5-5 x 0.5-1 cm, acute; cauline elliptic to linear-oblanceolate, 1.5-3 x 0.3-0.8 cm. Cymes several, c. 5 cm in fruit. Bracts lanceolate to elliptic, 0.7-2 x 0.2-0.4 cm, 1-2x as long as calyx, densely eglandular and sparsely glandular pilose. Pedicels erect, 1-2 mm at flowering time, slightly longer and recurved in fruit. Calyx 4.5-6 mm in flower, slightly longer in fruit , densely eglandular and sparsely glandular pilose. Corolla yellow, 13-15 mm, glabrous outside, limb 7-10 mm diarn. Nutlets 1.5-2 mm diarn., densely tuberculate, warts obtuse, not confluent at base; beak horizontal. Fl. 3-5, Fr. 5-6. On limestone cliffs, 0-90 m.
