Differs from CChlorifolium  in its usually lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate upper leaves, inflorescence strict, the pedicels erect, and the petals 5-6 mm, shorter than the sepaIs. FI. 4-5. Cultivated land, up to 1300 m.
Spain, N.W. Africa, Bulgaria, S. Russia, Caucasia, Syrian Desert, Iran, Turkestan.
