Plant 10-25 cm, with 2-3 oblong-lanceolate leaves, greyish-green, tinged. reddish, brownish spotted. Spike dense, cylindrical, 10-25-flowered; bracts small, not exceeding twisted ovary. Hood c. 2-3 mm diam., whitish to pink, sometimes purplish-spotted. Labellum small, equalling to slightly exceeding sepals and petals, White, purple spotted, 3-lobed; lateral lobes linear, middle lobe longer, entire or notched at apex, sometimes with a tooth in the notch. Spur very short, c. 2 mm. Fl. 3-5. Coniferous forests, open scrub, s.l. -1300
