Plant to 30 cm. Petiole to 20 cm, lamina to 7 cm, narrowly ovate to narrowly elliptic, ± obtuse at apex, subcordate to attenuate at base. Pedicels 0.5-4 cm. Sepals green, 4 mm, shorter than petals. Petals white to lilac, fugacious. Achenes 5-12 mm, beak long-attenuate. Seeds 2-several, oblong, horseshoe-shaped, c. 1.2 mm, covered with scale-like hairs. Fl. 4-7. Pools subject to temporary drying, 15-1150 m.
