Bulb ovoid, 10-12 mm diam.; tunics membranous, striate, brownish or blackish, splitting into fibres in upper part, prolonged upon stem. Stem slender, 30-50 cm, bearing leaves up to middle. Leaves filiform, to 3mm broad, shorter than stem. Valves of spathe yellowish, veined, attenuate into a short point, equalling or somewhat longer than umbel. Umbel hemispherical, 15-20 mm diam., dense. Pedicels brownish-black, longest one 2-3 x as long as flowers. Perianth narrowly campanulate, umbilicate at base; segments rather pale pink, oblong-lanceolate, 4-6 mm, obtuse or retuse at apex, strongly carinate. Filaments shorter than perianth segments. Capsule globose-depressed, 5 mm. Fl. 7-8. Pinus halepensis & P. brutia forests, macchie, scrub, fields and field margins, limestone slopes, 150-1500 m.
