Erect perennial. Stem 25-100 cm. Leaves 1-2-pinnate, triangular-ovate or oblong in outline, 3-15 x 2-10 cm, glabrous, ultimate segments 1-2-pinnatisect; lobes of basal and lower cauline leaves obovate or elliptic, 10-30 x 4-20 mm, serrate; middle cauline leaves with much smaller, lanceolate, serrate to dentate lobes; upper cauline leaves with linear to linear-filiform and entire lobes. Rays 20-80, spreading-erect and slender in flower and fruit, 2-9 cm; bracts 3-pinnatisect with filiform-subulate lobes; umbellules usually many-flowered; fruiting pedicels slender; bracteoles subulate. Mericarps 1,5-2 mm. Fl. 6-8. Fields, ditches, waste places, s.l.-700 m.
