Ascending or procumbent perennial. Stem sulcate, rooting at the lower nodes, 25-80 cm. Leaflets 5-11 per leaf, sessile, lanceolate to narrowly ovate, 10-30 x 5-15 mm, serrate, glabrous. Umbels short-peduncled or sessile, leaf-opposed; rays 3-12, unequal, 1-25 cm; bracts usually absent or 1-2, subulate; flowers up to 20 per umbellule; bracteoles 5-7, lanceolate, 2,5-5 mm. Mericarps 1,5-2 x 0·8 mm. Fl. 5-8. Marshy ground, by streams, s.l.-1400 m.
