Annual, 2-20 cm, main axis ending in umbel at 1-10 cm, branches to 40 cm, erecto-patent, ascending or rarely prostrate. Leaves 2-9 cm long, 2-5 mm broad, ± linear. Umbels very short-peduncled. Rays 4-7, very unequal, 0-5 mm. Bracts 3, 9-22 mm. Bracteoles 5, ovate, 5-12 mm, basally concave, closing around buds and fruits, 3-veined, mainly semi-transparent. Umbellules 7-12-flowered. Petals 0.7-0.8 mm. Anthers c. 0.4 mm. Stylopodium 0.55-0.75 mm broad, styles c.0.25 mm. Fruit 1.75-2 mm, smooth, ridges filiform, oil ducts visible externally. Fl. 4-5. Dry slopes, rocks, stream banks, secondarily as segetal weed, 100-150 m.
