Short-lived annual, 8-40 cm, erect, usually ± pseudo-dichotomously branched from the base. Lower cauline leaves linear to lanceolate, upper ones narrowly ovate with a broad, amplexicaul base. Rays 3-6, usually subequal, 10-50 mm. Bracts 0-3, variable, 5-20 mm. Bracteoles 5, narrowly ovate, long-tipped, herbaceous, 3-8 mm; Umbellules 1-5-flowered. Petals yellow, 0·4-0·5 mm, inflexed, lobe long, broad, bifid. Anthers 0,25 mm. Stylopodium 0,5-0,6 mm broad, styles 0,15-0,25 mm. Fruit 2,5-3 mm, prismatic to slightly rounded, smooth, ridges filiform.2n = 16. Fl. 4-5. Phrygana, dry fields, rocks and ledges, s.l.-1000 m.
