Erect branched glabrous perennial with hollow striate furrowed stems up to 100 cm. Roots fibrous. Leaves ± triangular, 3-pinnate, up to 20 x 12 cm; ultimate segments ovate; up to 9 x 5 mm, deeply lobed; petiole shorter than rachis. Umbels terminal and leaf-opposed. Rays 9-11, ± equal, not thickened in fruit, 10-20 mm. Bracts 0-1. Bracteoles 8-9, up to 4 x 0,5 mm. Umbellules 10-20-flowered, hermaphrodite. Pedicels 1,5-5 mm. Petals white, outer scarcely radiant. Fruit oblong, ridges, 4 x 1,5 mm. Stylopodium conical, fluted at base. Styles c. 1 mm or less. Fl. 5-8. Lakes or slow-flowing water, 50-1500 m.
