Perennial. Stems glabrous, terete with fine ridges, divaricately and irregularly branched, 30-100 cm; rootstock thick, woody; with a fibrous collar. Basal leaves ovate, up to 20 x 10 cm , 3-4-pinnate, glabrous or finely scabrid; ultimate segments ovate, divided into linear lobes, or linear, 25 x 1,5 mm; petiole shorter than rachis; upper leaves subsessile. Inflorescence of many branched lateral shoots of varying length. Rays 5-10, up to 20 mm, puberulent. Bracts 0. Bracteoles 8-12, puberulent, with a membranous margin. Umbellules 14-20-flowered. Petals white. Pedicels shorter than fruit. Fruit ovoid to elliptic, 3-4 x 1,5-2 mm, puberulent. Fl. 7-8. Rocky slopes, 400-2200 m.
