Glabrous biennial, with a strong smell when crushed. Stem terete, finely sulcate, 50-110 cm. Leaves 1- or rarely 2-pinnate, ovate-oblong in outline, 10-18 x3-10 cm, segments usually sessile, ovate-lanceolate, 10-55 x 5-25 mm, irregularly serrate and often lobed, green above, glaucous beneath. All umbels peduncled, rays 3-5, unequal, 0,5-2 cm; bracts and bracteoles few, linear-cuspidate, sometimes caducous; umbellules few-flowered, flowers hermaphrodite; fruiting pedicels 2-4 mm. Mericarps compressed laterally, ovate, 2-2,5 x 1 mm, brownish. FI. 7-9. Fields, s.I.-200 m.
