Perennial herb. Rootstock cylindrical. Annual stems 12-38 cm long. Leaves with petioles 0.2-0.5 cm, pubescent; blades 1.2-3.4 x 1.4-3.8 ern, ovate-deltoid or broadly deltoid, acute or obtuse, cordate-reniform at base, pubescent on both sides. Flowers axillary; peduncles 3-20 mm. Perianth 2.4-5 cm long, pale green or greyish-yellow on outside, pubescent; utricle 4-9 x 3-7 rnrn, globose or ovoid; tube 10-25 x 2-3 mm straight to slightly curved or rarely geniculate, cylindirical, not gradually widened towards the top and abrubtly bent like a knee at the top, pubescent outside; limb broadly ovate, subequal or shorter than tube, 10-24 x 8-27 mm, obtuse to retuse, hispid with scattered white hairs all round, only glabrous at throat; auricles usually broadly ovate to roundish, 3-8 x 3-10 mm, densely hispid within. Ovary 7 x 3 mm, hirsute. Capsule almost globose, 28-30 mm. Fl. 5-6. Fields,stony places, 900-1300 nl.
