Bulb ovoid-globose, c. 3 cm diameter, outer tunic coriaceous and dark brown, inner tunic papery and brownish. Leaves 3–5, canaliculate, hooded, longitudinal striated, green, glaucus, linear, longer than scape , 20–40 × 0.4–0.6 cm, patent to ascending-patent, margins cartilaginous and slightly scaberulous. Scape single, 14–28 cm in height, green, slender. Raceme, oblong, elongate, 4–10 cm, rachis green. Bracts in bottom c. 2 mm diameter, in upwards minute, triangular, greenish yellow, rarely pinkish.  Flower arrangement, verticillate , pedicels as long as perigone, erect, c. 5.5–6.5 mm. Flowers 20–50, 6– 7 mm long, tubular campanulate. Tube pale brownish, 3.5– 4 mm. Lobes creamy yellow, apex of lobes creamy yellow, 2.5–3.5 mm, fascias distinct and green. Lobes ovate-orbicular, as long as or shorter than tube. Stamens exerting mouth of the tube.Anthers yellow. Fruit broadly obovate-obcordate 6–10 × 6– 10 mm, dehiscent, persistent, valves thick, obovate, retuse at apex. Seeds blackish, shiny, ovate-oblong to subglobose, 2–2.2 × 1.6–2 mm, ornamentation is reticulate-foveate. Bellevalia turcica flowers from April to May.
