Like H. lineata but with normally 3 leaves which are generally broader, first one 10-20 mm broad; perianth pale to medium blue, with straighter, narrower, more elongate, subacute to acute, scarcely mucronate lobes. 2n = 18. Fl. 4-5. Quercus scrub, rocky limestone slopes, gypsaceous hills, 1550-2100 m.
Endemic. Ir.-Tur. element. Related to H. lineata.
