Plants 0,5-1,5 m. Cauline leaves 10-15 cm, pinnatisect or almost pinnate, ± ovate in outline, ± evenly serrate, sparsely pubescent on both surfaces, apparently eglandular; lateral segments 4-5-paired, 5-7 x 0,7-1,5 cm, upper margin divided to base, lower margin generally decurrent on rachis. Capitula numerous, in terminal corymbs. Involucre 7-8 mm broad; phyllaries 2,5-4 x 0,5-1,25 mm, linear-oblanceolate, sparsely pubescent, margins and apices brown, membranous. Ligules c. 12, white, 7-10 x 3 mm, elliptic-lanceolate, entire or 3-notched at apex. Disc flowers yellow, 2 mm. Achenes brownish, 1,5-2 mm, 5-ribbed; corona entire-margined, 0,1-0,2 mm. Fl. 8-9. Streamsides and igneous slopes in Abies forest and Picea-Rhododendron scrub and tea plantations, 1400-1900 m.
