Slender perennial, 30-80 cm. Leaves ovate to ovate-lanceolate, lower narrowed into winged petiole equalling lamina, upper cuneate, sessile, slightly decurrent. Flowers c. 20. Calyx 3-5 mm, accrescent to 10 mm in fruit, divided to below middle, lobes ovate-lanceolate. Corolla whitish to pale yellow, 5-7 mm; scales linear-lanceolate, exserted, 2-5.5 mm, exceeding stamens by 3.5 mm. Nutlets 2 mm, suberect, areolate, minutely tuberculate. Fl. 5. Woods, c. 500 m.
