Erect-ascending, many-stemmed, perennial with thick woody rootstock. Stems 10-20 cm. Leaves oblong-linear, subapiculate, 6-13 mm, ± evenly distributed over stem. Sepals broadly obovate, 2 mm, saccate. Petals pink, obovate, 6 mm, 3-nerved at base. Filaments free, inner ones broadly winged; anthers apiculate. Inflorescence subcapitate,elongating in fruit. Ovary unilocular, 1-ovulate, rarely 2. Fruiting pedicels erect, 5-8 mm, Siliculae orbicular, 6-7.5 x 7-9 mrn, cordate at base; wings 3-4 mrn, undulate, irregularly crenate-dentate; sinus 1.5-2 mm; style 0.5-1.5 mrn, included in sinus. Seeds 1, ovoid-triquetrous, c. 2 mm, mucilaginous; radicle obliquely accumbent. Fl. 5-7. Marny and gypsaceous slopes, 840-1400 m.
