Suffruticose or fruticose perennial, erect, up to 40 cm. Leaves of sterile shoots obovate-spathulate, petiolate, obtuse, bicoloured. Cauline leaves decreasing in size upwards, oblanceolate or obovate, acute or obtuse. Indumentum silvery-canescent, of stellate hairs. Pedicels very slender, deflexed, 4-6 mm, indumentum ± sparse. Petals obovate or spathulate, entire or subretuse, c. 2,5 x 0,5-1 mm, glabrous or with sparse indumentum on claws. Fruits broadly obcordate or orbicular, retuse or rarely truncate, 6-8 x 4,5-6,5 mm, glabrous; valves cartilaginous, subundulate. Styles 1-1,5 mm, glabrous. Seeds winged. Fl. 4-6. Serpentine screes and scrub, 40-300 m.
