Erect or decumbent annual, 2-5 cm. Leaves increasing in size upwards, indumentum ashy, of adpressed, short, sublepidote, stellate hairs. Lower leaves spathulate and ± obtuse, upper leaves obovate to oblanceolate, obtuse or acute, involucrate. Racemes simple, 2-4 cm. Pedicels 2-2,5 mm, horizontal to divergent. Petals 2,5-3,5 mm, linear-obovate, emarginate. Fruits rotund, turgid, obtuse, glabrous , 4,5-5 mm long and wide; valves strongly and equally inflated, with very narrow flattened margin. Styles 0,5-1 mm. Seeds narrowly to broadly winged. Two varieties may be recognised:
1. Fruits 3-4,5 mm long and wide; racemes condensed, 1-2 cm, 10- or less-fruited var. foliosum
1. Fruits 5-7 mm long and wide; racemes elongate, 3-4 cm, more than 10-fruited var. megalocarpum
