Suffruticose, many-stemmed, perennial. Stems erect, 3–6 cm. Indumentum monomorphic, of dense silverycanescent lepidote hairs, ca. 0.4–0.5 mm in diameter. Leaves linear-oblanceolate or somewhat obovate, 5– 13 × 1.5–2.5 mm, obtuse or somewhat slightly acute. Corymbs simple or with up to 4 branches, congested. Sepals oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, 3.5–4 × 2 mm, not inflated at maturity, margins membranous, deciduous in fruit. Petals spathulate, entire to scarcely retuse, 5–5.5 × 1.8–2 mm, claw margins entire, and dorsal surfaces with sparse lepidote hairs. Long filaments bilaterally winged, the wings connate, 3.5–4 mm; short filaments with basal connate appendages, ca. 3 mm. Fruit orbicular, slightly emarginate, 3–4 × 3–4 mm, with ± sparse lepidote hairs, ca. 0.20 mm diam. Styles 2–2.3 mm, glabrous or with sparse lepidote hairs in the lower half. Seeds ovoid, 1.5– 2.5 mm, brownish. Fl. and Fr. 6–7, Gypsum steppe, 650–700 m.
