Differs from A. strictum in the indumentum of the lower parts of sublepidote hairs, petals deeply emarginate to bifid with parallel lobes, fruits canescent with dense, equally-rayed stellate hairs. Fl. 2-6. Dry open places, cultivated land, 200-2800 m.
