Annual, 15-30 cm, branching above middle into a rather loose ebracteate inflorescence. Basal leaves oblong-lanceolate, clasping, auriculate or sagittate, margins entire, acute at apex; cauline leaves sagittate. Petals c. 5 mm. Fruiting pedicels 6-8 mm. Fruit 8-10 mm, somewhat tubercled and plicate between wings. Fl. 5-6. Fields, roadsides, etc., 300-1600 m.
W. Syria. Mainly in the Ir.-Tur. region.
