Perennial. Stems 20-40 cm, densely hirsute-villose. Leaves thinnish, villose; basal leaves oblong, entire or obscurely repand-dentate; median stem leaves narrowly oblong, subentire, auricles ovate-oblong. Flowers 4-5 mm, sepals pilose. Fruits densely tomentose-villous , 10-25 x 4-7 mm, usually tapering below, with a thick narrow wing on either side of loculus , constricted above the loculus and widening out into an obovate or broadly spathulate, emarginate, terminal wing. Fl. 4-5. Rocky slopes , 960-2000 m.
