Annual 20-60 cm, usually hispid, very rarely glabrous. Leaves petiolate, lyrate-pinnatifid with a large, toothed, terminal lobe. Petals c. 11 x 5 mm. Fruiting pedicels spreading, 5-14 mm. Fruit 20-45 x 2-4,5 mm including a straight or sometimes curved beak 15-30 mm; beak 0-1-seeded; lower segment 1-4 seeded, waisted or not between seeds. FI. 2-4. Roadside and waste places, s.l.-1400 m.
