Annual 15-50 cm, erect, stem branched, glabrous or with an indumentum of short thin hairs. Basal leaves not rosette-forming, petiolate, pinnately lobed with a hastate, terminal lobe larger than lateral. Cauline leaves with hastate terminal lobe and 2-3 pairs oflaterallobes. Petals 2,5-4 x 0,5-1 mm, narrowly oblong with a long claw. Fruiting pedicels erect-spreading, 5-11 mm. Siliquae 30-45 x 1 mm, straight or slightly incurved; valves thin-walled, glabrous, 3-nerved; style c. 0,5 mm; stigma bilobed. Seeds slightly papillose. Radicle incumbent or oblique. Fl. 3-5. Roadside and waste places.
