Densely glandular-pubescent, fragile, mat-forming perennial, 5-40 cm. Leaves 5-15 mm, oblanceolate-elliptic, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing into a petiole. Inflorescence 3-15-flowered; bracts 1-4 mm, narrowly triangular to subulate-setaceous, markedly different from uppermost leaves; pedicels 10-20 mm, slender, that of lowest flower less that 0,2 mm in diam. Sepals 2,5-5 mm, narrowly lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, attenuate, a little longer than calyx. Capsule narrowly ovoid, exceeding calyx. Seeds o·5-0·7 mm, tuberculate; tubercles with a short central papilla c. 10 microns.
