Perennial with suffrutescent, elongate, prostrate caudices. Branches erect, filiform, glabrous. Inflorescence strict. Sepals lanceolate, acute, the inner pair 7-nerved. Petals entire, oblong, shorter than the sepals. Stamens 8, somewhat exceeding the petals. Styles longer than the ovary. Ovary with 2 ovules. Seeds elongate, thinly tuberculate on the back, the faces smooth. Fl. 6-8. Rocky slopes, s.l.-1900 m.
