Like A. ledebouriana but often loosely tufted; leaves up to 15 mm; inflorescence 3-20-flowered, a panicle of three to six 1-3- flowered cymes, often densely glandular-pubescent; sepals 4·5-6 mm, ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, long-acuminate, often purplish. FI. 6-8. Stony slopes and scree, 1350-2450 m.
Endemic, related to A. ledebouriana.
