Like M. aizoides but rather tufted; flowering stems 5-20 cm; leaves 15-25mm, ± linear, the base 3-veined, scabrid on the margin; inflorescence 2-5-flowered; sepals 4-6 mm, oblong-spathulate, ± prominently 3-veined; petals obovate-spathulate, more than 2 x longer than the sepals. Fl. 7-8. Mountain pastures, 1980-3800 m.
