Like M. dianthifolia but forming dense cushions; stems terete, 2-5 cm; inflorescence 1-flowered; bracts similar to the upper leaves, without a membranous margin; calyx rounded at base; sepals 6-7 mm, 5-9-veined, the lateral veins curved; petals slightly longer than sepals, cuneate at base. FI. 6-8. Stony ground, 1900-2150 m.
Endemic; known only from Boz Da. E. Medit. element.
