Procumbent, diffuse herb. Leaves up to 10 x 3 mm, oblong-elliptic to oblanceolate-obovate, strongly mucronate, ± glabrous. Stipules shorter than leaves. Glomerules 10-15 mm diam., well-defined, axillary and terminal, profuse, crowded. Bracts ovate, much larger than flowers; flowers 2-2,5 mm. Sepals semi-scarious with straight hairs on the back, oblong, cucullate, awned , membranous-margined, almost equalling or narrower than the median portion. Fl. 3-6. Dry places.
