Glabrous annual or biennial. Stems erect, 1.0-4.0 cm. Basal leaves spathulate, soon withering. Cauline leaves ovate-amplexicaul, acute, the upper not closely investing the inflorescenee. Inflorescence a congested compound dichasium. Calyx 12-16 mm, obscurely veined. Petals pink, the limb slightly emarginate. Anthophore 7-8 mm. Capsule oblong-cylindrical, as long as or slightly longer than the anthophore.
