Perennial with a straggling woody caudex. Stems 5-15 cm, puberulous to pilose, sometimes viscid above. Leaves all similar, narrowly obovate, acute, 25-35 x 4-8 mm, puberulous. Flowers solitary or 2-3 in a dichasium. Calyx 24-29 mm, slightly inflated, not sharply constricted below the capsule in fruit, reticulately veined, puberulous to pilose. Petals pink, the limb divided to c. 1/3 or less, auriculate. Anthophore 14-18 mm, glabrous. Capsules ovoid. Fl. 5-7. Cliffs, rocky places, 1000-2000 m.

Endemic; very similar to S. araratica. Ir.-Tur. element.
