Annual. Stems ± erect, 10-25 cm, spreading-pilose. Basal leaves forming a rosette, petiolate, spathulate, mucronate; cauline leaves obovate or oblong obovate, acute; all puberulent. Inflorescence a 1-4-flowered dichasium. Calyx 14-20mm, greenish or suffused purplish, the nerves very inconspicuous, with a pilose indumentum of long, multicellular, glandular hairs. Petals pink, the limb entire. Ripe fruit unknown. Anthophore up to 8 mm in flower. Fl. 4.
Endemic; similar to S. aegyptiaca and also to S. pendula.
