Suffrutescent perennial, effuse from base. Flowering stems 12-20 cm, slender, erect, villous in lower part, subglabrous and viscid-glandular above; internodes 2-4,5 cm. Basal leaves fasciculate, linear, 10-30 x 1 mm, canaliculate, tomentose-glandular, densely villous at base; margins scarious, ciliate. Cauline leaves distant, 2-4-paired, uppermost bract-like, white-margined. Inflorescence subracemose, 1-3-flowered. Calyx 11-14 mm, tubular-clanate, glandular-puberulent, pink, distinctly 10-veined, constricted above capsule; teeth oblong-ovate, 2-3 mm, retuse, with white-membranous, ciliolate margin. Petals pale pink, exauriculate, 13-15 mm, glabrous; claw 7-9 mm; limb cuneate, 5-7,5 mm, bifid, lobes ovate-oblong, 3,5 mm, ligules 2-2,5mm, bipartite, denticulate at apex. Filaments 10-11 mm, glabrous. Styles 3, 8-9 mm. Anthophore to 6 mm, glabrous. Immature capsule ovoid-oblong, 3 mm, included in calyx. Fl. 5-6. Rocky and stony places in open Juniperus excelsa forest, 1600 m.
